With Heart
With Heart Foundation was established in 2009 by the founders of Gloria Jean’s Coffees and is steadfast in its commitment to global and local humanitarian projects. The Foundation will act as an umbrella for all their charity partners. All the funds raised will be distributed with heart to their various humanitarian projects. This means that they are not focused on one particular charity but instead enlarging their vision to expand their effectiveness in the community. Gloria Jean’s Coffees International Foundation is based in Sydney, Australia. Their partnership with various not-for-profit organisations allows them to have an impact locally, nationally as well as globally. Their coffee houses all across the world are united in their vision and purpose. Their focus will always be on making the world a better place by having a belief in people, building and changing lives and empowering them with opportunities to enrich their lives. They have a big vision to accomplish and together, they can change the world one sip at a time.
Opportunity International Australia
Opportunity International Australia is a non-profit organisation that uses a business approach to solve the problem of poverty. Rather than a hand-out, they provide people living in poverty with a loan as small as $200 to help them start or grow their own business. This enables them to earn a regular income so they no longer have to struggle to afford food, clean water or proper shelter for their families.
With more than 35 years of experience working with the poor, Opportunity International Australia is a leading provider and pioneer of microfinance and support services. Their aim is to see people lifted out of poverty permanently.
On the 16th & 17th October 2009, the Cappuccino for a Cause campaign successfully ran in all Gloria Jean’s Coffee houses Australia wide. Over the two days, 50 cents from every purchase of a Cappuccino or Iced Cappuccino was donated to the work of Opportunity International in West Timor, Indonesia.
